Reveiw by Google User Feb 8, 2011 - I am so pleased! Our garage door wouldn't lift or lower more than a couple of feet in cold weather; we had to manually "assist" the undersized, 20-year-old opener. Not being loyal to any repair company, I emailed four that I found on Google Maps. Matt, owner of Desert Garage Doors, replied within hours, answering all of my questions. (Another one replied several days later, simply to instruct me to call the office. (So why, in advertising, bother inviting one to call OR email?!) The other two blew me off.) Anyway, Matt is so experienced, that our problem was nothing new to him; "been there done that". After checking his BBB rating, I made an appointment, via email, for first thing the following morning. He was prompt, professional, and courteous. He serviced the opener, and it was working when he left. In retrospect, it worked, because it had warmed up by the time he left, because the next morning, we had the same old problems. I called the office, and the receptionist told me she'd have him call me, which he did within minutes. He told me that there was nothing else TO repair; the opener was just too old and too small for a door of our size. He said the only thing left to do was to install a new opener. I was delighted to find that his estimate (which was comparable to a Lowe's DIY) deducted the monies I'd already paid during the first service call! I REALLY appreciate a repair company that tries least-costly "plan A", before jumping into costlier "plan B"! And I appreciate not being charged twice for the gamble! And I appreciate the fast turnaround time in returning calls, replying to emails, and getting service! We've now found a garage door repair company to which to be loyal!
